circa 1852, with Birmingham proved octagonal 6 1/4in. barrel, muzzle with borderline engraving, articulated loading-lever mounted to the underside of barrel, plain cylinder with fenced nipples, borderline and scroll engraved open brass frame, spur-less hammer, chequered walnut bag-shaped grips and guarded trigger, much probable original finish
